Durga puja: Shoshti Look Book

Durga puja, the biggest festival for the bongs all over the globe is now round the corner. Homecoming of Devi Durga with all her kids are celebrated as Durgotshov. Bengalis wait throughout the year for these 5 days, though the real celebrations starts months in advance. Preparations involve shopping for new clothes, accessories, shoes and gifts for families and friends and last but not the least the planning on what to do , what to eat and where to go during the Pujas.
So now here comes the next step that how to choose the ensemble that will express your gratefulness and love, all the while striking huge chords with the latest trends. It’s no secret that achieving a beautiful look in the most modest of ways is high on top of our list this auspicious month. Even though the late monsoon doesn’t want to leave us alone, so by keeping that in mind we can style ourselves with comfortable kurtas or anarkalis this puja.
Shoshti is the starting day of the Durga puja so the first look is dedicated to this occasion.

To perfectly blend with the grandeur of the festival I have chosen a brown high necked long kurti from FAB INDIA . The front of the kurti is embellished with pintucks. Full sleeves of the kurti added a simplistic look to the outfit.
I wore the kurti with a beige churi leggings from LUX LYRA .

To pair well with the brown long kurti , I have handpicked a beige munga khaddi dupatta with antique gold motif (weaving) from HERITAGE.

Now for the jewelry, I tried a new fashion jewelry brand named ZOHRA. It was such a inexpensive dainty piece that I instantly fell in love with.
For the bangle I wore my 22k gold AU FINJA bangles from DAMAS.

Block heels were from AEROSOLES UAE.
You can team it up with stilettos or wedges too.

The glittery clutch from LIFESTYLE, United Arab Emirates was a striking contrast to the outfit and pulled out the entire look.

By donning a perfect makeup, one can change the entire look of the attire.
I did a eye makeup with ANASTASIA BEVERLEY HILL’S MODERN RENAISSANCE pallete . Lips are done with lipliner shade-SOAR and lip color from MAC COSMETICS, shade-MEHR.

Don’t go too heavy with your blush, just add a a little bit of color that would bring out some vibrance in your look.
Soft curls goes well with the look though you can go exuberant with your hairdos after all its the pujas!
