Maybe you all will be wondering, why did I start with Sanskrit shloka!! But when it is Ashtami nothing can be better than this. Maha Astami is the 8th and the most important day of Durga puja when Devi Durga’s weapons are worshiped.
From School girls to elderly women no one can’t think of Ashtami without saree, our traditional attire. Married women do try to keep it in the periphery of reds as it symbolizes strength, love, bond. So being bong and married how can I go afar .
Outfit I choose for Ashtami is a lovely dual tone fuchsia red silk Maheshwari saree with a beautiful golden border and golden weaved motifs purchased from MRIGNAYANI. As I told earlier that we not only buy for ourselves, we also buy for our families. This saree is gifted by my elder sister for the auspicious occasion of Durga puja.
As the saree is such a bold fuchsia red that nothing can be better than Gold to complement this look. So Iam wearing my 22 k Gold jewelry for this lookbook.
I wore a traditional chand bali / kaan Bala . Sankha and pola is the symbol of marriage, so married ladies do try to wear it for the occasion.
So I teamed gold bangles along with sakha and pola.
Didn’t want to go overboard for neck, so instead of necklace wore a biche haar ( designed chain) .
Wore a pair of golden flats purchased from MOCHI with the saree with intricate work on it.
Floral appliqued Clutch purse is from ACCESSORIZE.
This look deserves a bold bong makeup look to match up the Ashtami vibes.

Just put a big red bindi and the entire look will be complete…
