Durga Puja: Navami Look Book

Navami is the 9th and the last day of the puja when we all start feeling that the festival is coming to an end and all the planning we did for the past few months will be over soon. When your heart is filled with emotions creating commotion then try boosting yourself by glamming up beautifully and hence may be this is why we save the best for this day.
Navami is celebrated by doing Kanya puja, elaborately 9 girl child are being worshipped as a form of the goddess. If you notice carefully, you will see how important women are and empowered as Devi, Maa, Kanya in our society. Lets be proud and celebrate being a woman for bestowing our contribution to this society.

When it comes to the look for the day I kept aside the best for the last. The showstopper for the evening is the Benaras purchased BENARASI PASHMINA KAANI SAREE gifted by my Lady love, my Mom, who recently visited Benaras. This was such a thoughtful gift as this year I won’t be able to visit Kolkata for the pujas and hence I got my gift in advance. Though am miles away from home this pujas my Mom’s love and blessings will be there by my side. This is a pure handwoven 100% pure silk saree with detailed weaving that is radiating aristocracy and sophistication .

I wanted to maintain charm and elegance of the look so didn’t add much for the jewelry for the neck instead wore a statement earring.
This 22 k gold three layered jhumkas squares well with the saree.
Wore a simple double lined 22k bangle with it.

As the outfit is so glam on its own, do try to create a makeup harmonizing with the elegance of it.

Lips done with lip liner from MAC COSMETICS, shade-SOAR and lip color from MAC COSMETICS, shade-MEHR.
For blush used SWEET CHEEKS PALETTE from NYX.
