Welcoming the Christmas marks the beginning of the holiday season. It is that time of the year when our spirits are on higher note and everything around us are so very festive…
Christmas is definitely a bit incomplete without the decorations at home and the Christmas presents. This year it was bit difficult for many as we celebrated Christmas amidst a pandemic and many places were under lockdown due to the severe outbreak of the virus. Still people could avail all the needful bits and pieces online as we are blessed to have a quite reliable e-commerce platform.
This year Christmas was special for me as I finally got the chance to put up a Christmas tree and decorate it with beautiful adornments. Since I was a kid I dreamt that someday I would get a tree taller than me. Some how this wish of mine got subsided for years until this year.
Since I loved the very idea of a White Christmas, what immediately came across my mind was snow cladded tree with beautiful adornments in it, so the basic plan involves that.
First and foremost, it’s the planning to be done regarding what kind of decorations we want to put up according to the space in our home. Don’t go overboard and pile up your home with Christmas decorations as it would hamper the aesthetics of your home.
Then comes the next part that is finding the right tree according to the pre set ground plan. So I tried finding a bushy tree that holds the adequate amount of decorations on its branches.
As I went shopping a bit late I really couldn’t get all the stuff as per the plan, as a result had to do minor alterations to the existing plan. So an important tip is that try shopping before December 1st, to get the latest and newest collection available in the market.
Step three was the choice of adornments as per the selection of the tree. I took variety of baubles, ribbons, 2 types of lights, 2 types nutcracker soldiers wooden dolls, butterflies, boots, cherries, stars and a few more kind of tree decorating accessories. Now the next step was to assemble the tree first, then hang the lights and then comes hanging the baubles and accessories and then lastly putting the ribbons on it. Pack the gifts that you purchased for your loved ones and place it beneath the tree along with your Santa..
Don’t forget to wear your comfy pair of pjs while unwrapping the gifts as that is supposed to be the best loved tradition of all..
Festivities brings family closer and its the ideal time to spend time together. Amidst this pandemic we realized how close-knit a family should be and staying at home to celebrate Christmas eve is really not a bad option. What matters most is who you are celebrating with , not how you are celebrating it. So try to do your little bit to make your family happy because at the end it’s what matters.
